Role Of Content
Content plays a major role in how the community responds and interacts with the program. The way in which individuals relate to the content of the web site directly influences how effectively the site will be received by the community.
- So what does the content entail? The content is driven by the contribution of the student community. Types of content include various articles such as: movie and music reviews, topics of interest to students, student resources, news, quizzes, and polls. The type of content is continually evolving and staying on top of the current trends and interests.
- Fresh content provides advantages for the web site such as providing a reason for students to consistently return to the site. It creates a sense of community because it allows students to interact with each other.
- Content that students can relate to makes the web site more appealing, develops student culture, and promotes participation.
- Content for the site is found as a collaboration of the project team and the student community. The possible methods for obtaining content for the site include but are not restricted to the options shown in the diagram below:
